    Family Volunteer Expectations

    Overlook Hurricanes Families,

Tomorrow night's meet against Coulwood marks the halfway point of the summer swim season.  We have two remaining regular season meets against Riverbend (July 2) and Sailview (July 9) and then it's on to the Championship meets the week of July 15.  Making the swim season happen takes many hours of commitment from our coaches, teen coaching assistants, the team manager, our computer guy and our team treasurer.  This team of volunteers works tirelessly before and during the swim season to ensure that our swimmers have the best possible experience.

We also know that summer swim season takes commitment from our swimmers and families.  In order for our team to be able to host and participate in the YBDry swim league we need parents and other family members to commit to volunteering at a MINIMUM of 3 meetsWe want to thank all of the families that have volunteered at our first two meets and/or signed up to volunteer at any of our remaining meets.  We truly appreciate all that you do to make summer swim team happen!

We have had to ask for volunteers at the last minute for each of the meets so far and there are so many more volunteer spots available for ALL of our upcoming meets.  If you HAVE NOT yet volunteered or signed up to volunteer for AT LEAST 3 VOLUNTEER SLOTS PER FAMILY, we ask that you do so TODAY for tomorrow's meet and each of our upcoming meets.

We understand that every family has commitments, but we can't do this without your help & time.  All of the people that make the swim season happen are VOLUNTEERS and have committed their time, all we're asking for is a few hours of your time at a swim meet where you plan to be anyway.

Thank you & we look forward to continuing another fun swim season as we head into championships!
