    READ ME! TOMORROW'S SWIM MEET

Our first swim meet of the season is TOMORROW night! We are hosting Mt. Isle Harbor and it should be a great meet!  Since it's our first meet there is A LOT of information that we need to share, so please be sure to read EVERYTHING :)

    WARMUPS

Overlook swimmers will warmup at 5:20pm so please be at the pool and ready to hop in by 5:15pm.  Ready to hop in means suit on, cap on and goggles ready to go!

    CONCESSIONS

The Boy Scouts are selling our home meet concessions again this year.  Tomorrow night will be TACO THURSDAY.  They will be selling: tacos, quesadillas, nachos, chips, drinks & candy.  Purchases can be made with: cash, Venmo & Zelle.

    WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

    • Towels (more than 1)
    • Goggles
    • Chair(s)
    • Water
    • Sharpie to write your child's Swimmingly number (or write it at home)
    • Any food/snacks you don't plan to purchase from concessions.

    WHAT SHOULD MY SWIMMER WEAR?

    • Team T-shirt (if you have one from previous years.  The new shirts are on the way and can be picked up at practice on Monday)
    • Team Suit
    • Team Cap (these can be picked up from Elizabeth Herger at the meet tomorrow)
    • Goggles

    HEAT SHEETS

    • Overlook Hurricanes web site (overlookhurricanes.swimtopia.com): The heat sheet for tomorrow's meet will be posted under the event (Mt. Isle Harbor at Overlook) sometime tomorrow before the meet.
    • Swimmingly Fan: If you have downloaded Swimmingly Fan (the parent app with the navy blue icon) you can also find electronic versions of the heat sheet in the app. Just search Clubs for Overlook - Hurricanes 2023.

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE MEET?

Please write your swimmer's # on their LEFT upper arm with a Sharpie BEFORE the meet.

    • After each race, your swimmer needs to show the timer their number
    • Timers will enter their 3-digit Swimmingly # into the app with their time.
    • Even if your swimmer's number starts with a zero, please write all 3 digits to avoid confusion.
    • It will be loud on the pool deck, so older swimmers who can remember their numbers should still write them.
    • WHERE CAN I FIND MY CHILD'S SWIMMER NUMBER? Each swimmer's # can be found on Swimmingly Fan (the parent app with the navy blue icon) or in parentheses on the Heat Sheet next to their name.

    VOLUNTEERS

If you are signed up to volunteer tomorrow, please make sure your phone is fully charged. Swimmingly uses an app on your phone instead of stopwatches to time the swimmers. If you are volunteering as a Timer, Starter, or Stroke Judge at any point this season, please go ahead and download the Swimmingly app. The volunteer app (aqua blue icon) is different from the parent "Fan" app (navy blue icon).

If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

    See everyone tomorrow!
