We're looking forward to our last regular season meet next Thursday, July 6th against Mount Holly.  As previously announced, Mount Holly will host next week's meet AT OVERLOOK due to problems with their pool.  Please remember to RSVP by Friday at midnight.  If you will be out of town, please let the coaches know by RSVPing "not attending".

I also wanted to pass along some information about our Championship the following week. In order to fit all 6 teams on the pool deck, the YbDry League swims the Championship Meet in 2 parts.

• 11 & Up will swim on Monday, July 10th at Riverbend (rain date is Tuesday).
• 10 & Under will swim on Wednesday, July 12th at Riverbend (rain date is Thursday).

Championship entry rules are different than a regular meet, so we need everyone to RSVP for the Championship by Wednesday July 5th at the latest. This is earlier than normal. If you know sooner, you can go ahead and submit your RSVP now. If you do not RSVP online, you CANNOT swim at this meet. 

In order to keep the Championship from running too long, each team is only allowed to enter 5 swimmers per event (in addition to the normal 3 events per swimmer limit). Each team is also limited to "A" relays only. Overlook tries to enter as many swimmers as possible so they can have the Championship experience, but in order to do this, many swimmers may only be able to swim 1 event (only breaststroke, for example). It is also possible (but very rare) that there may be a swimmer who isn't able to swim at the Championship meet because we have no spots left. For the RSVP, we need everyone to say if they are "available" or "unavailable" to swim. Then coaches will put as many kids as possible into as many events as possible for the meet.

Please double check your volunteer status for the Championship to make sure you volunteered for the correct day. If you have previous experience in Clerk of Course and are available to help at the 10&Under Championship on Wednesday, please email Elizabeth.  We are also still in need of a few Timers for Wednesday (10&Under), which is an appropriate role for anyone. If your family hasn't fulfilled your volunteer requirements this season please consider signing up.
